Preschool Survey

  • PRESCHOOL SURVEY

  • Dear Gan Chaya Preschool families,

As we enter the new reality of uncertain circumstances that we are currently facing, and in the interest of providing you with the best possible school experience, we are asking you to provide your input so that we all have a better understanding of what to expect when we re-open.

When we will re-open, these are some of the new guidelines that we may be implementing:

    1. Parents will have to sign a waiver indicating that they are following the CDC protocols at all times and will not hold the school responsible or negligible if COVID-19 infection occurs before during or after participation of Gan Chaya Preschool.

    2. Parents (or any caregiver) will not be allowed inside the Preschool. A staff member will greet you at the assigned time for pick and drop off. At that time, your child’s temperature will be taken each morning and we will do a daily health check and symptom screening both for the child and the family.

    3. Two families will not be allowed to drop off or pick up at the same time.

    4. Parents and teachers MUST be wearing a face mask at pickup/drop off.

    5. Teachers will have temperature taken upon arrival and fill out health declarations.

    6. As Parents will not be coming into the classroom, staff will continue to share high quality photos on Facebook, so you may want to be more active on the group.

    7. Increased sanitation procedures will be in place including sanitation throughout the day for high touch surfaces.

    8. Hand washing prior to entering the classroom and many times during the day will be supervised by staff.

    9. Classroom materials such as soft toys, cloth toys, dress up clothes, hats and pillows will be removed from the classroom. All plastic material will be cleaned and approved.

    10. In place of group sensory play, we will give each child their own bin of sand, playdough etc.

    11. Rest time essentials will continue to be brought from home clearly labeled. The school may assume responsibility to wash them every week or as we deem appropriate.

    12. If there is any suspicion or confirmed case of COVID-19, we will notify the health department and parents, close the facility for cleaning, and follow all guidelines as per the CDC and health department.
