Daily Schedules vary a bit from room to room, but generally, a day proceeds as follows:
Morning Program 8:00- 12:30
| Arrival and Greetings: |
Each child is warmly welcomed to the classroom each morning and supported in settling into the morning routine at school. |
| Morning Judaic circle time: | Traditional songs are sung together with an emphasis on the meaning of the Hebrew prayers. ( Aleph Bet time for 3’ and 4’s) |
| Snack time: | Children bring their own snacks from home with a choice of 2 food groups. |
| Discovery time: | Free choice among a variety of activities in the learning centers: reading and writing center, manipulatives, dramatic play, block center, art table, science center and math center. |
| Circle time: |
Calendar and weather. Games and stories to introduce a theme or to practice specific skill building activities. |
| Outside play: | Use of playground equipment & planned Gross Motor Activity. |
| Project time: | Opportunities for children to partake in projects to further explore a theme or concept and sharpen specific skills. |
| Lunch: | Lunch and conversation (followed by Journal Time for Pre-k students) |
| Dismissal: |
Preparation for dismissal for half day students. |
Afternoon Program 12:30-5:00
| Story time: | Enjoying an educational story from the teacher. |
| Rest time: | Listening to story CD’S followed by soft music. |
| Free Choice Activities: | Free choice among a variety of activities in the learning centers: reading and writing center, manipulatives, dramatic play, block center, art table, science center and math center. |
| Outside play: | Use of playground equipment & planned Gross Motor Activity. |
| Goodbye circle: | End of day circle time. |
| Dismissal: | Preparation for dismissal and greeting parents. |
